Types of Braces
Today’s braces are better looking and more comfortable than ever before. And now patients have a variety of different orthodontic options to choose from, including metal braces, tooth colored braces and Invisalign.
Metal Braces
The traditional stainless steel braces that we use are “Micro Arch” brackets which are milled for optimal orthodontic precision. They are low profile, providing favorable esthetics and patient comfort. We have elastic ligatures (which hold the wires onto the brackets) in all different colors, so patients can choose new ligature colors at every visit.
Tooth Colored Braces
These ceramic brackets are fabricated using the latest esthetic ceramic technology, and their high translucency makes them an excellent choice for patients who want their braces to be less noticeable. They move teeth the same way metal braces do, but are a more esthetic and attractive option for orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a newer orthodontic option which utilizes the latest advances in 3-D computer technology. Teeth are moved using a series of custom-made clear aligners that are nearly invisible. This treatment option is best for adult patients with less severe orthodontic problems, such as mild to moderate spacing or crowding, or relapse from previous orthodontic treatment
